DAY 1: LAK LAKE
Pick up and depart from your hotel. We’ll travel by the small roads to visit the countryside in Da Lat: visit the weasel coffee farm, the silk weaving factory, the Elephant waterfall. Enjoy the ride along the adventure Road 27 on the 1,000m high mountain and through the deep jungles. Continue to explore the local lives by visiting the Ede, Mnong, Giarai minority villages at Lak lake – the lake itself is a glorious place, as once attested by Emperor Bao Dai himself-he grabbed some of the best sites in southern Vietnam for his many palaces, so it comes as no surprise to learn that he had one here, in a prime spot on a small hill overlooking the lake. You also can book the elephant ride here or the musical gong performances (your option), meet the Mnong women and learn about their strange matriarchal tradition. Our stay overnight at a nice resort on the side of the lake.
DAY 2: BUON MA THUOT
After breakfast, we’ll travel by the small roads to visit the countryside in Daklak, visit Draysap National Park and Dray Nur waterfalls, do some trekking in the forest. Relax and enjoy the beautiful nature. Our stay overnight is at 2 stars hotel in BMT.
DAY 3: KON TUM
Today we’ll travel by the small roads through the rubber, coffee, pepper plantations to the north of this central highlands. Visit the old battle-fields at the Road 14, learn about the history of the Vietnam war. Visit the old volcano and the Dragon camp. Enjoy the ride along the Hochiminh Road – it’s a new road that just rebuilt from the old Road 14, on the 800 m high mountains. Check in our 2 stars hotel in Kon Tum, stay overnight here.
DAY 4: KHAM DUC
In the morning we’ll go to visit the Ba Na village, discover the culture and custom of the Ba Na ethnic minority people, visit their Rong house, visit their Homeless church. Visit the old Kon Tum airbase, the old Ranger camp of the U.S Marine. Visit the old battle-fields at: Dak To, Tan Canh, Charlie hill, and the special Indochina border – we can ride up to the top of the 1,500m high hill where you can see the border is right at the 3 countries: Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia. Enjoy the ride on the historic Hochiminh Trail, along the 1,000m high mountains and through deep jungles. You also can stop and swim at the waterfalls on the way. Learn about the history of the famous Truong Son trail. Check in the 2 star hotel in Kham Duc and stay overnight here.
DAY 5: HOI AN
We’ll visit the untold Kham Duc airbase near the Laos border, where the Australian Army used to service in the Vietnam war. Continue to travel by the Hochiminh Road over the high mountains passing the Laos border and the famous Hamburger hill down to the riverside. Visit the rice-papers village. Arrive in Hoi An, visit the clothes shop and have lunch at a local shop. End of the trip
